Spring Time in Calgary?

I know I have been extremely negligent about posting lately, so I'm gonna try to get back on track starting now. This post will be a bit of a catch-up, meaning there could be a whole bunch of unrelated stuff that's important to me, but probably not to you. :)

Spring is really late in coming to Calgary this year. We had a few inches of snow the day before and the day of my birthday on the 16th, which started off with me receiving a beautiful gift basket from the kids. The Dear Ones, they never forget their old-mom. The snow didn't keep me from celebrating a birthday happy hour with some girlfriends at Anejo. You'll see a picture of the beautiful ladies below. I sent that picture to Casey and she responded with, "You guys look like a bunch of 'Hot Cougars'." Is that supposed to be good? Not sure how I feel about that one....

We sure missed our children and grand baby, Reese, this Easter, but we were able to spend time with good friends and even get in a round of golf. And we did get a picture of the Easter Bunny (you will see that below also). We spent Good Friday morning with neighbors Wayne, Dayna and daughter, Marianna. Dayna served up a delicious brunch with all the trimmin's. I didn't get a picture, but believe me when I tell you it was superb and we had a wonderful time, such good people.

We had Easter dinner with friends Deb and Les. (Deb, I want that carrot cake recipe!!!) We always enjoy our get togethers with Deb, Les and their sons, Will, Andrew and Alex. Unfortunately Alex, was away at school. There were several other "hangers-on" in attendance beside the Hunnicutts, which included friends, Roy, Lauren, Parisha and Jemma.

We played our first round of spring golf this weekend. It sure felt good to swing a club after the looooong winter, but I don't think we're done with snow yet. We are expecting an inch or two this week, but with any luck it'll dry up quickly and we'll be out on the course in no time.

Enjoy the pictures, in no particular order, cause that's how I roll.....

Reese's first Easter. Wish I had been there! Precious little thing!
