Christmas Holidays in Houston

I arrived in Houston on December 5th and Jim followed me down on the 12th. We are so lucky to have been able to visit with lots of friends and experience our granddaughters' first Christmas holidays. Things started off with the annual Lights in the Heights tour and party at Steven and Kendra's house. This year babies abound and ruled the party. Boy have things have changed!

Christmas eve was spent at Ryan and Cindy's house with Cindy's parents, Rex and Pam, sister Lisa and husband Rob, and Casey and Anthony, where the highlight of the evening was watching the expressions on Reese and Evan's faces as they opened all the fun toys and gifts. Christmas day saw our kids all go their separate ways to visit with their in-laws while Jim and I played golf at Memorial Park. It looks like this might become an annual tradition. 

The day after Christmas, we had "game night" at Casey and Anthony's house. Anthony won again! It doesn't seem to matter what we play, he wins every time, and I'm getting a little tired of it! :)

We caught up with friends we hadn't seen in a while at Toby and Janet's "Totally Rockin" Christmas Open House. It was so much fun to see everyone again! We were back at Ryan and Cindy's for New Years Eve for barbecue and fireworks! I'm amazed that the little girls were able to sleep through the fireworks that seemed to go on all night long! We toasted in the New Year and celebrated our upcoming return to Houston in May of 2015.

The last night in Houston was spent at Latin Bites, a south American restaurant, where we celebrated Casey's thirty-second birthday and Cindy and Ryan's second wedding anniversary.
